DMARC reporting

DMARC reporting

DMARC reporting provides visibility into how your domain is being used (or misused) across the email ecosystem. When you publish a DMARC record, you can request aggregate and/or forensic reports from mailbox providers:

Aggregate Reports are daily XML files that summarize all mail claiming to be from your domain, including pass/fail results for SPF and DKIM. These reports help you identify sources of legitimate and unauthorized mail.

Forensic Reports (optional and less commonly supported) provide redacted samples of failed messages for deeper analysis.

These reports are crucial for understanding your authentication footprint, spotting potential abuse, and safely moving from a monitoring policy (p=none) to enforcement (p=quarantine or reject).
